Here is the video of the dramatic metro accident in Budapest
An accident occurred yesterday caused by a woman’s leg stuck between a metro and the platform at the Astoria station on the M2 line. Metro traffic was suspended on the line for a significant time.
Firefighters arrived at the scene, and the rescue was carried out under the direction of the Disaster Response Operations Service. After the power was turned off, the experts pushed the train off the platform using a special inflatable lifting pad to free the woman’s leg, a video of which was shared on YouTube.
According to Index, the injured was then handed over to the ambulance. According to the National Ambulance Service, the woman, who was about 30 years old, suffered a serious limb injury in the accident, she was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
The metro didn’t run for hours, and the replacement buses were barely able to cope with the congested crowd in the evening rush hour.
